'Try a boat with boats.com' at Southampton Boat Show
Partnership with BMIF allows you to try a wide range of craft
Boats.com, recently surveyed in USA as the worlds most visited marine web destination for boaters, is joining forces with the BMIF (British Marine Industries Federation) to offer visitors to the Southampton Boat Show the opportunity to add to the enjoyment of the show and actually get afloat and 'Try a Boat'. 'Try a boat with boats.com' will provide the opportunity to try a wide selection of boats, ranging from powerboats and RIB?s (Rigid Inflatable Boats) to sailing yachts and dinghies. Through 'Try a boat' boats.com is helping the marine industry bridge the gap between browsing and buying, and helping to grow the sport of boating.
'Try a Boat with boats.com' will have its own registration area close to the main entrance, where computer terminals will also be available to see the newly launched European version of boats.com. The Try a Boat facility will be open to all visitors to the Southampton Boat Show, between 14th - 23rd September. In addition, boats.com will be sponsoring the adjacent BMIFs 'Boatline' boating information stand at the Southampton show, further cementing their commitment to developing the sport of boating.
"As a new company and partner with the marine industry, boats.com was looking to develop a different sort of boat show campaign - one that promoted our sport and industry as much as our company," said Ian Atkins, Managing Director of boats.com International operations. "The most effective marine sales project is getting people out there and getting on a boat. The 'Try a boat with boats.com' initiative puts this idea to work and at the same time introduces consumers and the industry to boats.com in Europe."
Boats.com is currently the leading marine web destination for boaters in the USA with more than 1,300 new boat specifications, 47,000 pre-owned listings and thousands of expert reviews and articles. The site offers users the ability to research, buy, sell, finance and insure boats and equipment all from one source. The launch of boats.com Europe will give users additional access to European products and information as well as local dealers and distributors, presented with multi lingual introductions.
The Southampton Boat Show will herald an international roll out of the boats.com internet facility for boaters and associated boat companies, which will include launches at Boat Shows throughout Europe.
